Callington is a now a small town in the South-East of Cornwall situated between Kit Hill and Bodmin Moor. However, in the 18th century Callington was one of the most important mining areas in the country, with desposits of Silver found nearby in Silver Valley.
Callington is the home of the famous Ginster's Pasty factory which is the largest employer in the town and has attracted employers from all over Europe.
