Camelford is a town in North Cornwall which lies on the River Camel and on the edge of Bodmin moor. Camelford is situated between Bude and Wadebridge it is roughly 6 miles inland so not very far to travel for a day at the beach.

Therefore just on your door step you would have the beach for swimming and surfing, the moors for walking and the surrounding countryside including the beautiful and historic towns and villages to explore.

Camelford itself has so much for you to discover including the Town Jail which was used to detain French prisioners during the Napoleonic wars. It has since been used as a cheese factory during the first world war and is now an agricultural suppliers.

Camelford has many shops to satisfy the needs of all along with three primary and one secondary school, as well as a medical centre.

With a fine history, rumoured to be associated with Camelot himself and so much to see and do, Camelford is one of the more lively towns in Cornwall.
