Information about Holsworthy

Holsworthy is a small market town mentioned in the Doomsday book! Holsworthy has its own outdoor pannier market which takes place every Wednesday and the largest weekly cattle market set in the South-west.

Holsworthy is situated in North-west Devon just a few miles away from the Cornish border and very popular seaside resort. It is also just 12 miles from Launceston and 30 miles from Barnstaple.

Holsworthy has a variety of local and international shops. It is also home to its very own sports hall with indoor heated swimming pool. There are also many other things to do and places to visit including an 18-hole golf course and bowling green. In addition Holsworthy offers a public library, recreational ground, public houses and places of worship.
