Shaftesbury is a town in North Dorset on the Wiltshire border and is one of oldest and highest towns in the Country. Famous for its steep cobbled street leading from Gold Hill, the centre of the town is made up of small streets and passageways and holds a market on Thursdays.
There are four infant schools, one primary school and a secondary school in Shaftesbury along with a number of different shops both local and national. There are plenty of local attractions with a multitude of Saxon and Medievel ruins across the town.
